LISTENING TO

My nephew started taking guitar lessons this summer, which is my greatest dream realized to have someone musical in the family. I have been binging lots of music, including zeppelin to make him a playlist full of guitar heavy songs. He is still young, but I can’t wait to go on this journey with him and experience the music together.

READING

I have loved Johnny Cash since I was a kid. My dad always listened to him and what listening to his music really taught me was what true country music looks like. We obviously know some of his history, but this book was a completely different light. It is laid out like a journal and he talks about important people and moments in his life that carried him through the dark times.

WATCHING

This show took me right back to my server days, I had anxiety after watching and it 100% gave me server dreams. What I loved most about this show its authenticity. The restaurant industry brings a specific kind of person to it and I love how that was not only highlighted but celebrated!

end of summer sunsets

DOING

I use the summer to recharge, regroup and prep for my busiest season. This summer I have completed big tasks, but I have also taken lots of me time, lots of cottage time and lots of time to sit with what I have accomplished these past two years. In the most uncertain times, it pushed me to make Copious more like home.

WORKING ON

Last week I took a styling gig on set and it was a joy to be a part of a team and to do the thing that started my fashion career. I got to work with so many talented people and athletes to bring the vision to life. It was a full week of work with long hours, so your gal is happy to be back in her studio and sewing Copious.
